Yumu Lin
Yumu Lin (Rainmoon) is a costume designer, maker and supervisor with drama and film roots, holding a Fashion Design bachelor’s from Zhejiang Sci- Tech University and a Design for Performance master’s from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. His work spans drama, musicals, operas, film/TV and cross-cultural projects in China and the UK—including Edinburgh Fringe, Camden Fringe, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre and Bad Wolf collaborations.
Praised for hands-on skills and efficiency, he manages the full costume workflow from script analysis to on-site coordination, blending craftsmanship (draping, hand sewing, etc.) with narrative insight, balancing historical accuracy and contemporary expression, and innovating via material experiments and prop design (e.g., inflatable costumes). Adept at diverse performance contexts, he achieves harmony between visual storytelling and emotional resonance, making him a versatile collaborator for teams of all levels.
