Cameron Mackintosh Ltd are looking for an enthusiastic and highly experienced individual to join the London production of Hamilton as a Head of Wigs, Hair and Make up
The ideal candidate will be someone who prioritises and strives for artistic excellence. The Head of Wigs upholds the creative design of all wigs, hair and make up in the show. They are also responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the Wigs department.
We are seeking an individual with extensive experience of all hair types, with specific practice in the care and maintenance of afro and textured hair and wigs.

GENESIS THEATRE DESIGN PROGRAMME
In 2023, the Genesis Theatre Design Programme was launched. This free training and mentoring programme is for global majority adults from socially and economically challenging backgrounds who want to pursue a career as Performance Designers.
Applications are now being accepted to find the 2 nd cohort, which will start in a few months. The Programme is a free, two-year, part-time course in Staging, Performance and Costume Design.
The programme is now seeking a new cohort of eight creative people, of global majority heritage, with the aim of improving representation among theatre designers in the industry, expanding the pipeline of talent, and opening more career opportunities.
This free programme is open to people age 21+. No specific qualifications are needed to apply to this programme, but potential students will be required to submit a portfolio, or summary of previous creative work. This could include work or education experience, or a self-directed project in a creative field such as fashion, architecture, interior design, carnival or events.

Shakespeare’s Globe is currently seeking a Theatre Technician to join our Theatre & Performance Department on a permanent, full-time basis.

The role:
The Theatre Technician will work closely with the Senior Technician and wider Stage Team to deliver the technical requirements of our productions, events and operations. They will act as a Duty Technician for performances, ensuring technical elements are prepared to ensure the smooth running of shows and, together with the Senior Technician, will ensure maintenance, housekeeping and turnarounds take place on a daily basis.
Our technicians do not generally stay for the duration of the evening performances.
The skills:
We’re looking for someone with a solid understanding and experience of technical elements of theatre with a focus of lighting and communication systems. The person in post will have strong organisational, problem solving and administrative skills with good attention to detail. They will have a good understanding of risk assessments and relevant H&S regulations. The Theatre Technician will have a willingness to take on training and have a reliable and proactive approach to the work.

The Production Department at Shakespeare’s Globe realise multiple productions at any one time across our two venues. Producing ten to fifteen productions per year we work with a range of creative teams to achieve their vision. The team pride themselves on a high standard of production values, ensuring shows are presented and maintained to this standard throughout the season.

As a Senior Technician, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring our standards of presentation both on stage and in the rest of the building are top class. Ensuring that technical equipment is regularly maintained and within its testing period and that all relevant stock levels are to a suitable standard. You will work closely with visiting companies to ensure their technical needs are met economically and efficiently, ensuring these comply with the agreed contractual terms. You will assist in maintenance of a grade 2 listed building and keeping high standards throughout the venue. You will represent the venues on fit ups and get outs and leading the technical crew. At times, when required, to work show calls on various departments to meet the production requirements.

JWP are looking for a Deputy Stage Manager to join The Devil Wears Prada at The Dominion Theatre, London from the end of November. The ideal candidate will have previous experience on a large scale West End musical, great communication skills, the ability to work as part of a team and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities / necessary skills for the role include:
Daily ‘calling’ of the show.
Maintaining the prompt book and updating any other paperwork when necessary.
Deputising for the Stage Manager in their absence, if requested.
Supporting the Stage Manager in all technical aspects of the production.
Attending any rehearsals, production and technical meetings, and participating in staff/team meetings as and when required.
Working with your team, other technical departments, the acting company, resident creative team members and theatre staff to ensure the efficient flow of information as necessary for the smooth running of the show.
A personable approach to problem solving, and the ability to work and remain calm under pressure.
Assisting with the maintenance of all props and set and supporting the ASMs in the sourcing and setting of the props.
Assisting with the delegation of duties to three Assistant Stage Managers.
Ensuring the ASM book covers are prepared to step up to call the book on any float and cover days.
The ability to work unsupervised and use initiative.
Excellent time keeping.
Experience in London theatre is preferable.
Probation period: 12 weeks

Job Description:
Trafalgar Theatre Productions are seeking an experienced LX No. 1 to join the current UK & Ireland tour of Fiddler on the Roof. Following a recent transfer to London's Barbican Theatre this summer, the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre production of Fiddler on the Roof embarks on a UK and Ireland tour.
Fiddler on the Roof explores life in the village of Anatevka in 1905, where Tevye, a Jewish milkman, grapples with changing traditions as his daughters challenge his beliefs. The musical features songs including "If I Were A Rich Man", "Tradition", "Matchmaker", and "Sunrise, Sunset."
The LX No. 1 will be responsible for all aspects of production lighting for the duration of the tour, including load-ins, rigging, programming, show operating, and moving between venues, with consistent support during every move from freelance production lighting and rigging staff.
Candidates' experience should include:
Experience of similar roles in a large-scale touring theatre environment
Experience with lighting control systems and LED technology
Knowledge of current Health & Safety guidelines and working practices
Ability to troubleshoot and adapt in accordance with the requirements of each venue
The ability work calmly under pressure and manage a team
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Responsibilities to include:
