Operating the automation equipment safely and under the supervision of the Head of Automation.
Ensure all automation equipment is maintained, and daily checks are completed to ensure the smooth running of the show.
Working closely with the Head of Automation, and collaboratively with other departments, including the theatre’s technical team.
Deputising for the Head of Automation in their absence.
Ensuring all show paperwork and cue sheets are kept up to date.
Assist with emergency repairs to automation equipment as required.

KILN THEATRE
Bridge The Gap Trainee Producer
This is an opportunity for an aspiring producer to gain valuable experience, supporting the delivery of Kiln’s world-class theatre programme, new work development and creative engagement programme. The Trainee Producer will play a key role in the next chapter of Kiln and Amit Sharma’s Artistic programme.
The Bridge the Gap Placement offers one eligible producer a 12-month paid placement with one of the UK’s most established theatres. The placement offers valuable experience and learning about the role of a producer through ‘hands-on’ training. Producers on a Bridge the Gap Placement also receive a place on Stage One’s Bridge the Gap Development Programme, which addresses the lack of diversity in theatre producing through mentoring, workshops, support from the Stage One team, and more.
This placement is generously supported by the Aziz Foundation, a charity established to nurture confident, articulate public leaders of Muslim backgrounds. Stage One and Kiln Theatre also recognise the under-representation of Muslim people in the theatre industry. Head of Production
Stratford East is looking to appoint a Head of Production.
The Head of Production leads the production department to support the creation and delivery of great theatre. They will be responsible for overseeing the successful staging of Stratford East and visiting company productions, our one night events programme, and will work with our Learning & Participation team to support the delivery of their on stage work and our Young Technicians programme
They hold overall production management responsibility for most in house productions (up to 5 productions a year) including working alongside the creative team, scheduling and managing the production process, leading production meetings, allocating and managing production budgets, schedules and show staff.
The Head of Production works closely with the Artistic Director, Executive Director and Producer to deliver the artistic vision of the Theatre and its productions to the highest standards. They are also a member of the Senior Management Team, which consists of the Artistic Director, Executive Director, Finance and Development Director, Learning and Participation Director, Operations Director, Director of Producing and Head of Marketing and Communications.

The Production, Technical and Building Services Department will be made up of 3 fulltime members of staff: the Head of Production, Technical and Building Services, Technicians (2) and Maintenance Technician (part-time).
Purpose of the role
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
MAIN DUTIES
To undertake the duties of the Duty Technician for Productions, Tours, Projects and Events at Brixton House and other sites.
To operate technical equipment for performances within Brixton House’s remit, with a bias to Sound Operation

PRACTICAL

PLANNING
Take an active role in the planning of events and projects within the remit of Technical Department.
Produce Plans, plots and schedules for each production and event at Brixton House.

WORKING SAFELY
Adhere to Brixton House’s Health and Safety Policy.
To use a wide range of technical and work equipment correctly and safely, including access equipment, lifting equipment, rigging, test equipment, hand, and power tools.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION.
ESSENTIAL
A minimum 2-years professional experience working in the technical departments of a performance venue or within the Event, Performance or Creative Industries.
Proven experience of operating digital sound desks.
Proven experience of programming Playback and show control software (particularly QLab).
Proven experience of sound editing software.
Proven experience of operating and programming ETC Eos family Lighting Consoles.
A keen interest in technology for performance.
Demonstrated ability to work to deadlines.
Ability to fault find technical equipment problems.
Familiarity with and willingness to work unsocial hours, as is the nature of the entertainment industry.

Role Summary
The Director of Productions leads The Rep's Production Department, and the role has overall responsibility for the people, facilities, processes and resources managed within these departments. The postholder oversees delivery of all Rep productions, presented productions and other Rep events utilising the performance spaces. They are the Health and Safety lead for the department and responsible for fostering a strong H&S culture across production. Purpose of Job
The Assistant Stage Manager will support the Company Stage Manager, Deputy Stage Manager and the department in carrying out rehearsals, and show plots, maintenance calls, including calling the show from the book and maintaining the props for the production.
Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• To perform the Assistant Stage Manager plots, overseeing performance and rehearsals and looking after elements of running the show to ensure its smooth and safe delivery
• To ensure the rehearsal periods run smoothly and that cast and creatives are suitably supported • To ensure relevant information is effectively communicated to the acting company, creative team and technical departments
• To learn and cover the book as necessary
• To deputise for the DSM and call the show
