Sasha Alexander
Sasha is a London based wigs, hair and makeup (WHAM) artist specialising in period wig setting & dressing and textured, afro and curly hair styling.
She enjoys hands-on, creative workplaces and has loved the atmosphere of theatre from a young age, completing her school work experience at her local theatre. Having noticed a lack of understanding of different hair types & textures across creative industries, she sought out training at The Wig room and Christine Blundell’s makeup Academy (CBMA); where she was later asked back as a teaching assistant for the next student cohort.
After completing a wham internship on ‘The Crucible’ at Shakespeare’s Globe, she has gone on to work as a theatre wham assistant providing wigs, hair, makeup and special effects styling.
Sasha believes in the importance of being able to work on any and all hair types and textures, to ensure every performer can feel confident, comfortable and look their best. She hopes to continue to express her creativity and skills while bringing multicultural characters and global majority stories to life on the stage and screen.
