Ruth Badila
Ruth Badila is a freelance set, costume designer and interdisciplinary artist. Working across theatre, film and fashion. She hopes to contribute and respond innovatively to the rapid change of the industry, whilst also thinking of ways theatre can become much more accessible and representative.
Ruth trained at Wimbledon university of the Arts and Design, where she completed her (BA) in Theatre Design. She is London based.
Recent design credit including being a design assistant in residence at the Kiln Theatre. Working and learning from a range of amazing creatives. Assisting in house production, from concept to realized shows. She is also the recipient of the 2021 Linbury prize. Biennial stage prize. The most important of its kind in the UK, that brings together the best of emerging designer.
