Stage Management

Ella Saunders graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 2014 with a degree in Technical Theatre and Stage Management. She has since gained experience in a variety of theatre, including but not limited to opera, new writing and theatre for children.

Join Ella Saunders a freelance stage manager from London as she talks about the highs and lows of the job as well as how she got into theatre and her experiences within it.

Sylvia Darkwa-Ohemeng the founder of Backstage Niche who is also a Stage Mananger, will also be joining in with the conversation about her journey.

Lighting

Jessica Hung Han Yun is a lighting designer across theatre, installations, circus and festivals. Light is both versatile and powerful; it can completely change the mood and atmosphere of a space within an instant. It is simply not there to just illuminate but is itself a spectacle.

Over the last couple of years Jessica has been able to focus on how light can be used to transform spaces and effect audiences. Most recently she has won a Knight of illumination award and Off west end award for her design for ‘EQUUS’ 2019.

Join us as we talk to Jessica Hung Han Yung about her journey of being a lighting designer and her experiences within her chosen career.

Costume

Rianna Azoro started her costume education at Newham college with a 1 year Fashion Foundation Diploma specialising in Costume, before completing a 1 year apprenticeship at Young Vic Theatre.

Rianna also has costume and styling experience in the film, tv and commercial industries. Something she does not think she would have achieved without primarily working in theatre. 

Join us as we discuss Rianna’s journey through her career within costume from theatre to tv and film.

Sound Design/Composing

Xana is a sound designer/artist, live loop musician, music producer, composer, performer, theatre maker and poet who has worked on critically-acclaimed theatre shows and performed around the world. Xana’s creative work focuses on archives and creating our future narratives through sci-fi, magical realism and blending freestyling with their genres orchestral noise/thick bass.

Join us as we delve into the world of Xana as they discuss their journey into being a sound designer.
