Louise’s professional Stage Management journey started by attending and graduating from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2018 with a BA degree in Production Technology & Management and has been able to work consistently in the Entertainment Industry ever since. Before this, her first taste of backstage theatre came from her local theatre where she was initially onstage performing but realised behind the scenes was where the true magic happens and immediately wanted to be a part of that.
She has worked on a variety of productions from Contemporary arts Festivals & Fringe Productions to larger scale productions. Mostly fulfilling the DSM position but is open to working in all Stage Management Roles!
She has just finished working on A Little Life and will be starting as DSM for RCS’s Hamnet at the Garrick Theatre in September running until January '24.
During coronavirus lockdown, Louise turned her hand to the TV world and worked as a Buyer for a new ITV drama due out at the end of this year. She is currently trying to span across both industries but Theatre will always come first.
Through working in the industry she’s learnt the importance of working as a team within different roles and coming up with quick and effective solutions to produce quality performance.
