Lauren Chang
I am a recent graduate from UC Berkeley, where I specialized in Stage Management and Lighting Design. I am now a medical student at the University of Chester and am hoping to dep on productions.
As both a professional stage manager and student stage manager in the United States, my duties have included that of a company stage manager, deputy stage manager, technical assistant stage manager, and assistant stage manager. As a stage manager, I have called numerous shows with complex cue sequences and scene transitions, as well as managed the stage management team and overall company. I have also run technical rehearsals, which involved calling show cues while also coordinating with directors and members of the design team.
Professional, union theatre I have worked at include The Strand and the Rueff at American Conservatory Theatre (283 seats and 120 seats, respectively) and Aurora Theatre Company (150 seats).
In university theatre, I worked at the Zellerbach Playhouse (500 seats). As a general technician and electrician, I have primarily worked at Berkeley Repertory Theatre in both Peet’s Theatre and The Roda Theatre (400 seats and 600 seats, respectively) on several shows, the full list of which can be provided upon request.
