Juke Iemanjá
Backline Tech, Drum Tech, Guitar Tech, Music Producer, Audio & Sound Engineer
I am an international backline technician, drum & guitar tech, drummer, music producer, and audio & sound engineer, as well as an event organiser and multidisciplinary creative with a rich multicultural heritage spanning Africa and Europe. Growing through the empowering community of 3T Crew, I have toured widely and collaborated with world-class venues, musicians, instrumentalists, and artists, including Roundhouse Chalk Farm, Shure, SuperOrganic London, Hoxton Cabin, Earth Agency, Somerset House, The Scoop (LDN), Cassette Head Sessions / 90mil, Radio Orange 94.0, Roland Global, Rock Werchter, Reeperbahn Festival, Porgy & Bess Jazz & Music Club, Bricklane Jazz Festival, WUK, Village Underground, Nando’s Music Exchange & Bridge For Music Academy, Ancienne Belgique, The Music Village, Le Botanique, Les Ateliers Claus, Werkplaats Walter, and more.
Driven by a lifelong passion for music, I have built a strong foundation across both creative and logistical roles - mastering instruments, organising live events and music festivals, and supporting artists across the whole production process. I bring a proactive mindset, reliability, and adaptability to every project, with a genuine eagerness to learn, grow, and expand across all areas of the music and creative industry.
My activity spans London UK, Vienna (Austria), Berlin / Hamburg (Germany), Bruxelles (Belgique/ België), Paris / Marseille (France), New York (USA), South Africa, and Cameroon, connecting venues, musicians, instrumentalists, and audiences through music, audio, and creative culture.
Alongside my technical work, I produce studio and live sessions, organise festivals and community events, and teach inclusive percussion to people with disabilities-building cultural and artistic bridges across continents.
My main professional focus is backline, particularly drum tech and guitar tech roles. I also have a background as a sound & audio engineer.
I had the opportunity of shadowing the sound department at the Tina-The Tina Turner Musical at the Aldwych Theatre. Which was a pivotal moment where I rediscovered a deep appreciation for sound & audio engineering and the magic of live performance. This experience sparked a growing interest in theatre, I am now actively seeking opportunities within the theatre industry. My extensive backline experience, engendering background, and work at the Roundhouse and others have equipped me with highly transferable skills that I am eager to apply and expand in theatre production, sound, backstage support, and technical roles.
As a person with a disability-Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, and Autism- and who is also part of the LGBTQ+ Community, being part of Backstage Niche has been incredibly meaningful to me. It has helped me feel seen, valued, and connected in a creative space that celebrates diversity and inclusion.
My journey continues to evolve, and I look forward to growing further - building bridges, amplifying stories, and contributing to a more inclusive, vibrant, and connected global music and theatre landscape.
