Janelle Benjamin is a London-based Stage Manager with experience across theatre, opera, immersive experiences, new writing, and large-scale productions. She trained at both The BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology and Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in stage management and technical theatre, further developing her skills.

She is particularly interested in Assistant Stage Manager roles, whether as an ASM Book Cover or a Tech ASM. Janelle brings a proactive, upbeat approach to every production and is always ready to jump in wherever she’s needed.

Some of her key skills include confident QLab operation, score reading, costume and prop maintenance, flying experience, and first aid training.

She is currently working as an ASM Dep on Stranger Things: The First Shadow in London for Sonia Friedman Productions. Alongside her West End work, she frequently collaborates with theatres such as the Almeida Theatre across multiple productions, taking on roles ranging from Assistant Stage Manager to Deputy Stage Manager and Stage Manager on Book.
