Amanda Ramasawmy
Amanda is a London based visual artist and designer who works predominately in the mediums of moving image, film and theatre design, and installation. A graduate of the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, her work draws upon themes of memory, displacement, and spirituality.
She’s particularly interested in how memory and history can be conveyed through matter - how it can offer a unique and perhaps more healing method of storytelling for marginalised communities. She has recently created work for the Gate Theatre, Flat Time House and Barbican Centre, and was nominated for the Evening Standard Future Theatre Fund earlier this year.
