Afua Nuamah

Afua (ay-fee-yah) is a Ghanaian Stage / Floor Manager and Production Coordinator with experience across theatre, large-scale live events, opening ceremonies, live music, and broadcast productions in the UK and internationally.
She began her career through work experience on Legally Blonde at Z-arts, which sparked her passion for backstage practice and live performance. Afua later trained at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, graduating with a First Class BA (Hons) in Stage Management.
Since graduating, Afua has worked on global productions including World Expo 2025 (Osaka), Riyadh Season Opening Ceremony, Commonwealth Games Ceremonies, NFL London and Munich, Global Citizen Festivals, and UAE National Day Ceremonies. Her roles span Stage Management, Floor Management, Production Coordination, Artist Liaison, and Talent Chaperoning, demonstrating adaptability across departments and production scales—though she’s also someone you can trust with the music playlist in a rehearsal room or office.
Alongside large-scale events, Afua maintains strong ties to theatre, working on productions such as Hamilton (UK & Ireland Tour), Othello (National Theatre) and Dear Evan Hansen. She is confident coordinating large teams, managing rehearsal rooms, and supporting productions from early rehearsals through to live performance with clarity, care, and precision.
Afua is excited to continue collaborating with ambitious creatives and production teams on projects that challenge scale, precision, and storytelling. She looks forward to touring and expanding her horizons, bringing her expertise to productions around the world.
